Disney Trivia Challenge

When I was at Disneyland for my birthday on January 3, I was fortunate enough to come across a Cast Member offering a Disney Trivia Challenge - if I could answer a number of questions from a Disney movie of my choice, I would be rewarded with a Disney Buff button (which ended up being an Honorary Citizen of Disneyland button, huzzah!).  Of course I selected "The Lion King" - the best Disney movie ever! It's the movie that I watched over and over and over and over and over and over and over....and over and over and over again as a child.  I had it on VHS, with the awesome clamshell case - I would watch it, rewind it, and rewatch it all day.  I think I made out easy on the questions, but here they are:

1) Who is Simba's girlfriend? -- Nala!
2) Who is Simba's father? -- Mufasa! (no brainers, right?)
3) Where was Simba forbidden to go by his father? -- The Elephant Graveyard
4) Where did Timon and Pumbaa find Simba after he was chased out of the Pride Lands? -- The Desert
(5) What kind of bugs does Pumbaa like the best? -- SLIMY! (yet satisfying!
(6) What are the names of Scar's three hyenas? -- Ed, Bonzai, and Shenzi
(7) Who is Simba's mother? -- Sarabi!

My sister and her friend were then asked insanely hard questions in order to earn their buttons:

Sister's Friend: What countries did Aladdin and Jasmine fly over in "A Whole New World"? -- I don't even remember, lol - she basically called out every country in her mind.

Sister: In "The Nightmare Before Christmas" what are the three main ingredients Sally uses in the soup for the Professor AND what did each ingredient do? -- Again, I don't even remember, but I almost feel like I didn't really earn my button, haha!

Anyway, this Cast Member (I forget her name) later told us that she lived in the middle of nowhere for about 3 years and watched a collection of Disney VHS movies over and over and over (and over) because she didn't have cable.  Hence, she now liked to use her knowledge to reward guests at Disneyland.

I vowed that I would return home and watch all the Disney movies I could get my hands on and I would come back and PWN her with some Disney trivia of my own, lol.

I am starting tonight by watching Dumbo (the oldest Disney movie I could find on Netflix) and then I'll move on from there! My next trip to Disneyland is February 23 - let's see if I can get through all of the animated classics in a little over a month!
